One ski area, here to stay
Foppolo and Carona open together from the first day of the season — every lift, every piste. In recent years that couldn't be guaranteed: putting things right took longer than expected. Now we turn the page.
We own the land the ski area sits on, we own the Foppolo lifts, and we hold a 15-year concession for the lifts at Carona. We are here to make it all work — properly, and for the long term — with a long-range plan for a new destination.
New lifts and pistes
We're starting with real news for lifts and pistes.
You'll find a new high-speed Montebello chairlift — a detachable — taking you up above the Rifugio Montebello, in place of the old lift. The top station is 50 m higher than before, and the bottom station has moved 400 m further down, to the Terza Baita area.
That means the ride from the base area at Foppolo up to Montebello takes half the time, and the pistes coming down get longer and more numerous — with fewer pylons on the piste and none of the old stations. We think it's going to be a joy — and a surprise.

At the same time, we've shortened the “Quarta Baita” chairlift, which will now stop at Terza Baita: the huge beginners' area stays, but the steeper first stretch is gone and the ride up is shorter.
